Match Report Press Report

Wykeham 2 Lost to Lee-on-Solent 2.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 2 string should have been the closest, with only 36 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Alex Kershaw, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 3 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 78 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Chris Horne.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 3 string, Chris Horne, gaining 70 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 3 string, Chris Horne, who over-turned a 273 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
