Match Report Press Report

S/Ton University 1 Lost to Totton 1.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 2 string should have been the closest, with only 6 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with Charles Black winning through.

It was the number 3 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 57 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Stuart Parfett.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 1 string, George Stanford, gaining 70 Ranking Points from the match.
