Match Report Press Report

Petersfield Lost to Chichester in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 4 string should have been the closest, with only 71 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with winning through.

It was the number 1 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 126 Points ! Victory finally going to the Home Player, Sam Shuff.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 2 string, Joe Seaman, gaining 2160 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 5 string, , who over-turned a 681 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
